Our membership includes the national, state, and local levels to include the most benefits of membership. In 2018, the beneficial new business model gave you a State membership when you obtain your National membership for $299 a year, membership for retired engineers $149 a year.

Life Membership
It is the policy of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) that members be recognized for years of service to NSPE and the profession, by the granting of a reduced amount for national dues.

Student Membership
You qualify for a FREE NSPE national student membership if you are:
- A student enrolled full-time in an ABET-accredited engineering program;
- A student enrolled in an engineering or pre-engineering program that has a transfer agreement with one or more ABET-accredited engineering programs;
- A student enrolled full-time in a graduate-level engineering program.
Note: Students enrolled full-time in graduate-level engineering programs may choose any membership grade for which they are eligible, including “student member.”

About Your Membership
The NMSPE provides leadership for the advancement of engineering professionalism throughout New Mexico. Current members range from students to retired professionals. We provide conferences, meetings, and education throughout the year. Highlighted NMSPE benefits include:
- EWeek Conference in February, Annual Meeting in June and Issues Conference in November – Attendance at these conferences provides professional development hours, including ethics, at discounted rates to members, as well as providing great networking opportunities and helpful speakers.
- Legislation – up-to-date news on pending federal and state legislation that may affect the engineering industry.
- Communication – stay informed through email alerts, newsletters, and the NMSPE website.
Local Chapters
When you register as a member you can choose to select a local association. Participate in Albuquerque, Santa Fe/Los Alamos or San Juan, to enjoy further benefits. Participation in the local association chapter is included with membership, so don’t miss out! Select the chapter you want to be associated with on the NSPE Online Application.
